From the 1st of July 2026 the EU removes the de minimis exemption for low value goods. By 1st of November 2026 this will be required to send shipments into the EU.
This means shipments to consumers with a value not exceeding €150 will be subject to a €3 duty per line item on the customs declaration. Furthermore, B2C sellers are required to provide Product Identifiers (PIDs) that include:
-
Merchant Product Identifier (Required)
- Unique code to identify the goods, this is usually the SKU, item code or product code.
-
Non-standardised Manufacturer Product Identifier (Required)
- A manufacturer or product suppliers unique code.
-
Standardised Manufacturer Product Identifier (Optional)
- Code provided by a governing body to manufacturer or producers where the unique products meets the industry standards. Often a barcode (ISBN, EAN or GTIN).
We have added support for this in Webshipper and will continue to improve this in the near future to account for all usecases.

Adding PID information from orderchannel integrations
Whether you are using Shopify, WooCommerce or another orderchannel, you should add the following additional attributes to your products which will be transferred to Webshipper:
m_pid - Merchant Product Identifier (Required)
ns_pid - Non-standardised Manufacturer Product Identifier (Required)
s_pid - Standardised Manufacturer Product Identifier (Optional)
Depending on your orderchannel system, you might need to adjust your integration settings under the Connect menu in Webshipper to ensure the connection can receive the new attributes.
Adding PID information from API
If you are using API for managing your orders and/or shipments, you can add the PID information to the line items directly on the additional_attributes:
